1. WHAT IS THE CORE PRODUCT PHILOSOPHY?
The Indian interior industry, especially the modular kitchen industry is 85% unorganised and 15% organised, hence is highly dominated by carpenters and small scale semi machine manufacturing units with no quality control process in place. In the small segment of 15% organised suppliers, you would predominantly find two kind of suppliers – European Kitchen Traders & Indian manufacturers, including the online aggregators. European kitchens are highly quality conscious but comes with a much higher price tag due to brand, custom taxes and logistical compulsions, whereas local manufacturers focus primarily on the price factor.
So Würfel was introduced fill this void – Best of Europe handpicked with a very aggressive pricing strategy. Each and every raw materials and hardware from a finished board to a screw is imported only from the best vendors across Europe and assembled in India, by using German technology under the able supervision of an European production head, ensuring great European products at great pricing.

7. WHAT IS THE SCOPE OF WÜRFEL FOR KITCHENS?
Würfel takes up end-to-end responsibility of the kitchen space to ensure that you have a seamless design-to-handover experience for your modular kitchen. The scope of work would be - Product 2D & 3D Designs, Fair Price Würfel HQ certified estimate, plumbing and electrical drawings, production of the kitchen, installation of the kitchen, installation for counter tops, installation of brand partner’s appliances, complete kitchen handover, regular servicing & support on call.

8. WHAT IS NOT IN THE SCOPE OF WÜRFEL?
The following third party services are not in the scope of Würfel – civil work, plumbing work & electrical work.

9. WHY MODULAR KITCHENS AND NOT CARPENTER KITCHENS?
Modular Kitchen is a product that you buy once for the next 10-15 years and hence your decision has to be very well thought, considering that it’s the heart of the home. This is a must read before owning a Modular Kitchen in your home.

10. WHAT IS THE PRECISION LEVEL OF WÜRFEL PRODUCTS?
The tolerance level of Würfel product is 0.5 mm, and all machineries are calibrated at 0.1 mm tolerance over 3 metres.

11. WARRANTY POLICY
Würfel has a warranty policy of 6+4 years for all its retail sales. A detailed warranty document is provided along with the delivery of the kitchen. This warranty is applicable for all wood/board parts. All fittings come with lifetime. However, in case of projects & corporate editions, the warranty is 3+2 years, not because there is a change in product quality but because the price is very aggressive. The warranty can be extended individually by paying the additional amount before the installation.

12. PAYMENT TERMS
10% token advance after the first presentation. 40% advance after design finalisation to start production. 50% before delivery.

13. HOW DO ADVANCE PAYMENTS WORK?
Any advance payment paid is willingly paid to take the design further towards completion. Advance payment is done twice in the buying cycle.
1. Post first presentation you would be in a state where you have seen our products, checked their quality and also the design presented with costs. Hence we have a policy of 10% advance to take the design further to the detailing stage. Post this payment you can do any number of design iterations till you are completely satisfied with the design. The amount paid is not a design fee and will be adjusted as a part of the billing.
2. 40% making it 50% of the project cost, including the first 10% before sending to production. Once a product is sent to production then there cannot be any cancellation or changes to that particular product and the client is liable to pay the 100% payment as per schedule.
Any form of advance is non-refundable.

14. WHY SHOULD ONE PAY 100% PAYMENT BEFORE DELIVERY?
Würfel follows the global modular kitchen payment standard of 50% advance payment before production and balance 50% payment before dispatch. A modular kitchen sale is the starting of our relationship at-least for the next 10 years and we always vow to stand by you. It is not just the product installation, but the following services are executed with utmost care. Your product is our pride and hence it becomes more important for us to present a top of the line product and we assure our clients that every product would be completed to your satisfaction.

15. HOW DO I REPORT A PROBLEM?

You can also call us on our toll-free number – 1800 3000 2926 and register a complaint.
Someone from the technical team will visit to examine the problem within 48 working hours. If it’s a minor problem, it will be resolved then and there. However, if it requires consultation with the production team or support staff, we will get back to you with the right solution and timeline for the job completion within 48 working hours.

16. DOES WÜRFEL DEAL WITH MARINE PLY?
Yes, catering to the Indian market, Würfel also provides the option of 36 hour boiling water-proof calibrated plywood, imported from Indonesia. This is the only raw material in our catalogue that is imported from a non-European country as manufacturing of ply is banned in Europe for environmental reasons.

17. WHAT OTHER BOARDS DOES WÜRFEL USE?
Würfel extensively uses high-density water-resistant particle boards and MDF boards. Our vendors are spread across Europe and are the best board making companies across the globe.

18. DOES MARINE PLY WORK BETTER THAN PARTICLE BOARDS?
This is a very strong myth prevailing in our country. However, this myth is strongly supported by the poor quality of particle boards produced in India. Plywood production is banned in Europe for environmental balance since many years and hence the whole board making technology has always evolved in the manufacturing of high density particle boards. Over years Europe has pioneered the technology in board manufacturing and creates the most trusted and long lasting boards globally. We all know that European Kitchens are the best and the most long lived across the globe and all European brands use only high density particle boards.
Whereas in India the technology of board making has always evolved in plywood. The application of Indian made particle boards are – packing, pallet making, with a common intention of one time use. Hence the technology of particle board has never evolved in India. If the question is - Is plywood better than Indian made particle board, then the answer would be YES. But if the question is – Is plywood better than top European made high density particle board, then the answer would be NO. The top end High density particle boards are made under highly quality controlled environment and hence producing top of the line long lasting boards.

19. WHY WÜRFEL WARDROBES?
We don’t make wardrobes, we design wardrobes. What do we mean by this sentence? Würfel designs completely customisable wardrobes, customisable not just in size but to the need of your lifestyle. A good wardrobe is about how the wardrobe is designed, how we have understood the personal requirement and lifestyle of the individual who would be using the wardrobe and ensure that in the available space we help to design a wardrobe which makes life easy and organised.
Besides this, our wardrobes are screw free and all joints are made out of metal support, increasing the life and durability of the product. It’s highly modular to the panel level and hence can be installed, uninstalled and moved with lot of easy.

20. WHAT IS WÜRFEL HARDWARE PORTFOLIO?
Würfel has more than 40 hardware partners from different parts of Europe with a researched intend to handpick the best of the best to make a Würfel product. So the name Würfel is the brand which means it is made with the best in the trade.

21. WHO MANUFACTURES WÜRFEL PRODUCTS?
Würfel world starts with quality and hence the Würfel story started with a top of the line European technology, self-owned and self-operated manufacturing facility. This is the core strength of Würfel and we dictate our quality process and control.

22. IS WÜRFEL ISO CERTIFIED?
Würfel is ISO:9001 and ISO:1401 certified.

23. HOW ARE THE GRAIN PATTERNS ON THE SHUTTERS IN CASE OF LAMINATE AND VENEER?
Würfel always works on vertical grain patterns. Horizontal grain pattern is a special case and need to be requested. So, Würfel does not do horizontal grain matching of shutters in any of the cases. All grain matching is vertical grain matching.

24. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET A WÜRFEL PRODUCT?
From 2-3 days, post making 50% payment and signing of dossier, the production timeline based on finishes are as follows.
Plain Laminate, Synchronized Laminate, Gloss Polylacq and Matt Polylacq : 30 days.
Glass, Veneer, Stone, High Gloss Lacquer, Matt Lacquer : 45 days
Solid Wood: 90 days
Exclusive Kitchens: As per design.
Post the dispatch you have to add the number of transportation days from Bangalore to your location. That is, your delivery date!

25. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO INSTALL A WÜRFEL PRODUCT?
Approximately 14 working days including the cabinets, countertops & appliances.

26. WHAT TYPE OF FINISHES ARE AVAILABLE AT WÜRFEL?
Würfel offers one of the widest range finishes industry-wide. Plain Laminate. Synchronized Laminate. Matt Polylacq. Gloss Polylacq. Matt Lacquer. Gloss Lacquer. Veneer – Clear and Tinted Glass with Aluminium profile. Lacquered Gloss and Matt Glass on laminate shutter. Stone Finish. To name a few.

27. CAN I GET ANY COLOR KITCHEN I WANT?
Besides the regular colour catalogue of High Gloss and Matt Lacquer, you can opt from any colour from the RAL shade cards. So we can deliver “Your Kitchen, Your Colour”. However, for any special colour outside the catalogue colours, a small amount of 5% on the overall kitchen is charged extra.

28. DOES THE GLOBALLY POPULAR HARDWARE DISTRIBUTORS/ MANUFACTURER MAKE KITCHENS?
The global giants for Modular Kitchen hardware manufacturer/distributor has such a big market share in hardware that they never thought about or would think about getting into modular kitchen manufacturing. They are focussed in selling their hardware portfolio. However, some of their dealers collaborate with local carpenters or semi organised players to sell kitchen in totality so that the hardware is also sold along with the panels.

29. WHAT IS WÜRFEL EDGE BAND TECHNOLOGY?
Ask one question to any veteran from the furniture and modular kitchen industry – Which is the most important operation on panels. We assure you that the common answer would be “Edge Banding”. Würfel takes pride to officially state that we use PUR technology for all our edge bands, making it the strongest edge band.
We at Würfel understand the importance of Edge Band for the longevity of the products and hence this is considered with outmost care.

30. HOW IS WÜRFEL ECO-FRIENDLY?
Würfel is a responsible brand and one of the top most priority is to maintain eco-system balance. Wood industry contributes to the loss of trees for making its products. E.g. One kitchen made from plywood is a result of 5-6 trees being cut. As a brand this is a matter of deep sadness for us and hence all our boards are eco-friendly and certified by FSC Europe. Our partners for board making cultivates their own forests and ensures that each and every board is made from cultivated forests. So be the proud owner of any of our product and feel the pride that you have contributed to maintain the eco-system balance.
Also as one of our CSR activity we plant one tree for every kitchen we produce.

31. HOW DOES WÜRFEL PROVIDE HEALTY LIVING?
Würfel by default uses E1 Grade boards and does E0 boards on request. It is very important for every client to understand the grades of boards. Würfel ensures that you have a healthy home and live safe.
The three commonly used grades of boards are.
E0 is the amount of formaldehyde released less than or equal to 0.5 mg/l.
E1 is the amount of formaldehyde released less than or equal to 9.0mg/100g.
E2 is the amount of formaldehyde released less than or equal to 30.0mg/100g.
Formaldehyde is a colourless, harmful gas that can cause cancer in the nose, mouth, throat, skin and digestive tract. And the formaldehyde in the home basically comes from all sorts of board, furniture and paint from adornment material.
According to national mandatory standard, after closing door window 1 hour, in every cubic metre indoor air, formaldehyde release quantity must not exceed 0.08 milligram; If it reaches 0.1-2.0 mg, 50% of normal people can smell bad odour. Reach 2.0-5.0mg, eyes, trachea will be strongly stimulated, sneezing, cough and other symptoms; More than 10 mg, dyspnoea; Reaching more than 50 milligrams can cause serious diseases such as pneumonia and even death.
If the decoration of the user is reasonable, environmental protection, and under the condition of constant ventilation and ventilation, indoor formaldehyde can be generally reduced to the permitted level in about 20 days.

Yes. We have a highly qualified outsourced team. This team has undergone several quality tests and checks and can take complete care of plumbing, electrical, civil and POP jobs.

14. CAN I PLACE AN ORDER FOR A PRODUCT THAT IS OUT OF STOCK?
Sure. You can always do so and our team would get back to you with the date of delivery.

15. WHAT IS THE PAYMENT POLICY TO GET COMPLETE HOME SOLUTIONS FROM WÜRFEL LIVING?
10% after first design presentation
40% for order finalization
50% before dispatch

16. WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
You can cancel your order on any off-the-shelf products and use the same amount paid on other products from the studio. If a product has already gone in for production, then there is no cancellation for the same.

18. DO I HAVE TO PAY A DESIGN FEE?
Würfel Living does the first round of design at no cost. Post which, you would have to pay an advance of 10% based on the approximate pricing, if you would like to go ahead with the design.
At this point you can choose to have two options.
1. Make changes and finalize the design by choosing images from the existing library. This comes at no cost.
2. Do a detailed design with 3D MAX rendering. In this case there would be a design charge of 5%.

19. DO I HAVE TO PAY AN EXECUTION FEE?
There is a project management cost of 3% on the total cost of the project. Because we are cost conscious and it is our responsibility to give you a great home at a great price, we are competitively priced as compared to the market where a standard of 10% is maintained.

20. ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN CHARGES?
Würfel believes in being transparent and ethical. There is absolutely no hidden cost. Taxes as applicable would be clearly mentioned in all quotations as per the product category.

21. WHAT IS THE INSTALLATION PROCESS?
For any interior work to start, all civil and electrical work must be completed. All Würfel Living products come in box packages, which would be directly placed or flat packed to be installed at the site. The installation process may vary depending on the site conditions. This would be explained during the design finalization phase.

22. DO I HAVE TO SUPERVISE THE INSTALLATION?
Not at all. You home is our pride and our technical team would ensure that you have nothing to worry about. We request you to relax during this phase and leave the rest to our experts so that they can work at ease and deliver their best.

23. WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE ARE ANY ON-SITE DAMAGES?
We are responsible for any accidental damage done on any of our products by our technical team during the installation process. However, if there is any damage caused by other non-Würfel members on-site, we are not responsible for the same.
