Bathroom vanities generally speak of your style and personality.
If you want to remodel your bathroom vanity or even design a new one, you should know what kind of taste and feel you want for your bathroom. Are you leaning towards a traditional style bathroom or a more modern bathroom? Whichever the case may be, the most important element of your bathroom is the kind of bathroom vanity you choose.
As they say, “less is more”. A modern bathroom vanity is more contemporary and needs to be as minimalistic as possible. A design without much detailing or moulding is done on cabinets makes the bathroom vanity design seem more simple and clean. The keyword here is “clean”. In no way should the bathroom look congested. Congestion makes the place look bulky and untidy.
From the light grey marble floor to the grey bison board as the backdrop, we get to look at an example of simplicity which is the Adorn bathroom vanity design. The bathroom vanity design comes with floating base cabinets for storage, two separate floating basin tops and mirrors which makes it a great design if you have multiple people using the bathroom vanity. The shower is surrounded by clear glass and supported by black metal frames so you don’t have to worry about getting the bathroom floor wet after a shower.
The finishes used for the vanity cabinets are a mix of vanilla which is a textured laminate and a grey matt poly lacquer. The laminate acts as the primary colour and the poly lacquer as a highlight. The base material for the laminate is a high-density water-resistant particle board which is also termite treated. The surface of the board is covered with a laminate sheet. The laminate sheet is made by pressing several layers of flat paper and resins together which makes the surface completely waterproof.
The grey matt poly lacquer on the other hand has a base material called the medium-density fibreboard. This board makes the surface of the poly lacquer smooth and no waves are formed on the surface. The MDF is an engineered wood product. This is made by breaking down hard or softwood leftovers into wood fibres which are then combined with resin binders, forming them into panels by the application of high temperature and pressure. This not only makes the MDF board eco-friendly, but also very dense and strong. The MDF board is then covered with a laminate sheet. After the process of lamination, a coat of clear matt lacquer is applied to the front part of the laminate board by the process of curtain painting. This gives the board a matt finish without any sort of waves on the surface.
The edges of the laminate are sealed with edge banding using PUR glue. PUR glue technology, which is also called reactive hot melts, is one part formation that combines the speed of the hot melt adhesive with the strength of the structural adhesive to form a strong bond between the board and the edge band.
In conclusion, different styles suit different personalities and whether you choose a classic or modern theme, bathroom vanities are fun to design.
