  3. Book an appointment to visit the nearest showroom of the brand you have zeroed on.
  4. Visit the showroom and touch and feel the product. Ask for questions like – how they are different from others? What is the brand belief? How to maintain the quality? What is the warranty period? Are they also focusing on healthy homes?
  5. Understand the process of buying.
  6. Select your liking and give your requirement in details. It is very important to give detailed requirements as kitchen design is very dynamic and can change as per your requirements.
  7. Ensure you mention your budget while asking for designing as the same kitchen designs can vary in price, based on the accessories, finishes and automation used.
  8. Some brands might ask you for a small redeemable amount (approx. 25,000) for design start. However, most of the brands does the first design free of cost.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             
  9. Visit the showroom again for the design presentation. Ensure to check each and every requirement you have discussed is covered in the design.
  10. It is very important to ensure that the brand is ethical and is very transparent in giving you the price. It’s a regular practice in the kitchen industry to inflate the price and give bigger discount percentages. This is completely inspired by the Indian customer physiology of getting happy with bigger discount percentages.
  11. If you like the design and the prospective costing, then you would be asked for a token advance to take the design process further to closure. This is to ensure that either of the parties are focused in doing the sale. This money is safe and would be adjusted in your purchase.                                           
  12. On closing your design, you need to pay a total 50% of the order value.
  13. The order is then taken to production.
  14. The delivery dates vary from brand to brand. It usually takes 30 days plus transportation.
  15. You would need to pay the balance 50% a week before the dispatch.
  16. You might wonder why I should pay complete 100% before completion of work. However, this is the industry standard and just don’t worry. All brands do their best to ensure that you have the best product as nothing is more important than a happy customer.
  17. Installation process involves installation of cabinets, co-ordination with the countertop team and getting the same executed, coordination with the appliance team and getting the same executed. Normally most of the brand takes the complete responsibility of the end-to-end deliverables of a kitchen. This process takes close to 14 days.

  1. Once installation is completed, then an installation report is executed and post that you would get your warranty card.
  2. Post sales service is very important and there should be a customer care number for your support.
